Open Parliament

Venue: Kossuth Square

Between 20-22 August, as part of the Nyitott Parlament (Open Parliament) programme, the Hungarian Parliament Building will open its doors to the public free of charge and without prior registration. During these days, visitors can admire the building's stunning interior spaces up close, including the Díszlépcsőház (Grand Staircase) and the Kupolacsarnok (Dome Hall).

This special programme also offers a rare opportunity to view the Holy Crown and the coronation regalia, guarded by the Honour Guard, and alongside the festive walk-through, visitors can also tour the exhibitions of the Parliamentary Museum free of charge.

Due to exceptionally high interest, entry is subject to strict security screening, so visitors should expect longer waiting times to enter the building. The Nyitott Parlament programme can be visited by people with reduced mobility without waiting in line; please contact the Parliamentary Guard for assistance upon arrival.
