Gastro Pop-Up Market (Batthyány Square)

Venue: Embankments

20 August is not only the feast day of Saint Stephen, the founder of the Hungarian state, but also the festival of new bread: according to tradition, the first loaf baked from the newly harvested wheat is broken and consecrated on this day throughout the country, symbolically bringing abundance to the tables of the entire nation.

The Pop-Up Market set up in Batthyány Square is also linked to this tradition, where artisan bakeries, patisseries and producers will be offering their freshly baked delicacies, complemented by coffee and homemade drinks.
