Carl Craig

Carl Craig is one of the pioneers of Detroit techno and a defining figure of the genre's second wave. He has worked as an active producer, DJ, and label head for more than three decades. Alongside techno, his music also carries the influence of jazz, soul, funk, and classical music, and throughout his career he has experimented with numerous different genres. He is a key figure in bringing Detroit techno to international recognition, a co-founder of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, and an active representative of the city's musical heritage.
